I am a volunteer for Colorado Peke and Pom, we are a rescue for Pekenese, Pomeranians and other small dogs in Colorado and the surrrounding states. In November of 09 we started the '365 Scarves Project' in order to raise money for spays, neuters and other surgeries for the dogs that we rescue. My idea was to try to collect 365 handmade scarves to sell next year during the winter/holiday season. We are writing to almost every yarn manufacturer in the United States for yarn donations, to date we have received donations from:

We would love to have people from each of the 50 states and other countries donate a scarf to us so if you are interested please let me know. If you live near Colorado Springs I can also give you some yarn to use for this project. Thank you for your help.
As of today we have 45 completed scarves, only 320 more to go.
